    About Me

    Curious Flavors

Hello! My name is Jomelyn. Nice to meet you, my new friend!

I am the recipe developer, videographer, photographer, and writer behind the Curious Flavors website. I love cooking and baking. As I grow up, I try to learn and invent easy-to-make recipes that are delicious and full of different flavors. Growing up, I help my mother in the kitchen to prepare Asian food. Yes, we eat homecooked meals all-day. When I moved to the US 10 years ago, I continue experimenting with more recipes along the way. I prefer easy to make with minimal ingredients as much as possible without compromising the taste.

Did you go to college? And what is your degree?

Yes! I finish college. I took a Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Management and graduate from the University of Pangasinan (one of the best schools in the Philippines)

What was your job in the Philippines?

I worked a corporate job in the Philippines after I graduate College. I worked in a Government School as Admin Assistant in the Collecting and Disbursing Office for 3 and a half years until I finally moved to the US. My parents taught me to be independent and make my own money at a young age.

What is your favorite dish to cook?

Honestly, there are too many of them but my adobo and pancit bihon is at the top list.

Are you planning to create your own cookbook?

Absolutely! One of my goals is to inspire people to cook and bake their own food and I thought I could inspire more if I create my own cookbook and create recipes on my blog.

My purpose for this blog is that I hope you can find value and inspiration in every recipe you read on this blog. If a super busy mom like me can cook and bake, you can too! Let's do it!
